YAYAs are going home: Trynisha
It’s Trynisha Wright again and my visit to New York is over.
I have had so much fun these past five days that I would love to stay but, I have to go home. I am very thankful for the time the Girls Club took to show us around and also the friendliness the showed to us. I can’t say what I enjoyed doing the most but I can say that I enjoyed every single bit of this trip. Because we did not get to see all of New York I do look forward to come back.

YAYAs are going home: Rocqel
My name is Rocqel Novel and l have been visiting New York with The Lower Eastside Girls Club for the past five days. I love the shopping here, you can bargain with the people here. The food is different from what I am used to. I was getting used to the cold weather and walking everywhere (in New Orleans we drive almost everywhere). I had so much fun today . We went to the Tyra Banks show and had a lot of fun. Watching the show live was amazing. Being in New York I have experienced a lot of that I only imagined doing. I LOVE IT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAYAs are going home: Amber
Hello,
It’s Amber again. Today is my last day here in New York. I’m sad, I was just getting the hang of the weather and walking. Today, Luna took us to the Tyra Banks Show. It was fun, but I wish we had at least 1 more day to spare!!! I love New York. But, not to worry, we WILL come back for 1 reason or another. I’m just glad I got a chance to experience all of the things here!!!!!!!
I want to say thanks to ALL of the Girls Club for making this trip so great!! I’m so appreciative because I met a lot of great people, ate great food, experience GREAT changes, and so on. I love this place and these people and I can’t wait to come back!!!!!!

YAYAs are going home: Averi
Being in New York has been fun. Adjusting to the weather and the walking has been interestingly odd. But the experience was a once in a life time opportunity, the diverse cultures and interesting places has made this experience one to remember for a life time. Thanks girls Club ….we love you !!!!!!

The YAYAs in New York: Rocqel
My name is Rocqel Novel and I am from New Orleans, La. I am visiting New York to hang out with The Lower Eastside Girls Club. Being in New York for these past couple of days have been exciting. I have been to places I only see on t.v. The shopping here is amazing. The different sight seeing is fun but everyone walks so fast, but I am starting to adjust to it. The food here is amazing especially the pizza and the hot dogs. Hanging with the Girls Club, I have experienced new things. I have walked through Time Square, Harlem, and walked a lot. I LOVE THE GIRLS CLUB AND NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The YAYAs in New York: Trynisha
My name is Trynisha Wright and I am a from New Orleans, La. I am in an organization called YAYA (Young Aspirations Young Artists). Some of the YAYA
girls took a trip to New York to visit the Lower Eastside Girls Club. I love everything here from the weather to the shopping. Even though we are doing a lot of walking its worth it because we are having a blast! I think the diversity of the New York is really nice. I think the Girls Club did an excellent job of showing us a good time. I also think the Girls Club is a cool organization. I like how they teach younger girls how to do all kind of amazing things and to have confidence in yourself. I will always remember my first trip to New York.

YAYAs in New York: Amber
My name is Amber Matthews and I am 15 years old. I am from New Orleans, Louisiana. I am here visiting New York with my art group YA/YA. So far I love New York!!! It’s so different from New Orleans. I love the food, the people, the buildings, the weather, EVERYTHING. I like how integrated everyone is and the freedom that everyone has! It’s as if there is no limit to where you can go or things you can do here. It’s BEAUTIFUL!!!
The Girls Club has some of the nicest people working with us. They’ve taken us shopping, WALKING, eating, sightseeing, and more walking. Walking is a big difference here than it is back home. Back home, you walk to the car from a building or from a building to a car. Here, we walk EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!! But we can’t complain because we are enjoying seeing the architecture, the bill boards and the TREES!!!!!!!!!

YAYAs in New York: Averi
Hi, my name is Averi Matthews and I’m from New Orleans, LA. I’m visiting New York for 5 days with The Lower Eastside Girls Club. New York is a very interesting and diverse place, full of interesting places like Times Square and exciting people like Luna. Adjusting to their walking speed has been very hard but in the end the outcome was great. I think the The Girls Club is a cool place where girls of all ages can come and express themselves in different ways
