Today we went to Avenue D to see the different types of food in the neighborhood and when we first got there we saw many types of stores and supermarkets. We took a picture of all the stores and what they had inside. We also got every street that the stores were on so that we know were the stores were. We also spoke to people on the block and in the stores. We saw many types of fashion of clothes that the people were wearing. I wasn’t really surprised cause I was used to this.We took pictures of each other and there weren’t many restaurants on that avenue.Finally, we took pictures of us in front of this big store and this man and his wife wanted to take a picture with us. I had fun doing this but all the walking had me exhausted. On the plus side, I got to meet new people and tell them about Girls Club and we had some great ice cream and we enjoyed ourselves. The one improvement I would make is to more vegetables out there and more healthy foods in these stores we visited.

We went to the Cutsogeorge, Tooman & Allen Architects and we found out that they are planning to expand the Girls Club! We saw all the types of places and lounges that we have to chill inside. We also have more space for classes and workshops. The great thing about this new building is that it is finally ours; no else is allowed except for us. We have an open courtyard and a garden on top of the roof. We have a cafe and a library and inside the library we can also just chill. We have a place where we can do yoga and just sit and read. We have three entrances to come inside the building. The building also has other residents’ space so people could live there. We have offices where the staff is going to be working. We have a bakery where we going to bake and have fun enjoying ourselves. We have a planetarium where you can see sky shows and it’s also a movie theatre. So you can see that were going to have a ball in our new Girl club and it’s going to be better and great.
