My First Week at The Lower Eastside Girls Club was fun for all of the girls. I met girls that I have things in common with and I met girls that I don’t have much in common with. On the first day we saw the official Girls Club movie. The movie was about what the Girls Club does and represents and also when they started. Then they made sure we got to know every girl that works at the Girls Club and also the girls that are going to work at the Girls Club and just learn about them by playing two truths and a lie. We also watched a movie about different works of art from Mexico and just what kind of art they do and what the art represents, because every art means something. We also had the YAYAs come in and show us the real truth about the military and how it affects everyone (even if you don’t care it affects you). We also played a game just so that everyone can show what they learned and see what people do to make you wanna join the military. The movies that they showed us made me want to help the people are currently in the military. The movie just showed that the military makes you join by telling you every thing you want to hear and then change the story or when you come out the military they don’t care about you. After all that, on Friday we went to Coney Island to take pictures and have fun.
