Today we visited Cutsogeorge, Tooman & Allen Architects. They gave us a tour of what the new Girls Club is going to look like. The new building is going to be located at Avenue D between 7^th & 8^th street. Inside they are planning to have a bunch of cool things for the community to enjoy. The are putting lots of spaces for offices, a garden, dance studio, yoga classes, bakery, places for people to live. They are trying to make it solar powered; in other words environmentally friendly. They are going to have storage for bikes and the Girls Club car, which is going to be Bio-diesel. They are going to have art studios and a planetarium. There you will be able to see the planets. I think that the new Girls Club is going to be a cool environment to work and have fun in. I like the fact that a lot of energy has been invested to make this building. Even though I haven’t been in it yet, just even hearing about it I fell in love with it instantly! It’s going to be a very fun place when it finally gets built.
