The Jumeirah Essex House
The Jumeirah Essex House looked so beautiful with the artwork. The hotel itself was high class and it made the artwork look worth more. The entrance to the hotel was intriguing because of the doorman and the perfect-looking vases of flowers with the two pictures of Central Park on each side. There was a hallway which lead you to the event space where the photographs were on display. Before heading to the exhibit, there were shops in the hallway. One was jewelry store that had beautiful earrings, rings, necklaces, etc. There was even a ring that was $220,000!!
The other shop was selling items that you can buy and put in your home. The exhibit displaying the photographs looked like a place where you could throw a quiet party with family/friends where everyone drinks champagne and red wine with small food that waiters would walk around having it on a tray. The hotel was mind-blowing and really amazing to me. We interviewed, Jennifer Tripp, from Magnum, curator of the photographs in the art room. She said the hotel was about $400 a night. Phew!
