ART GEO CREW ON THE MOVE!
The Art Geo Crew went to the Sue Scott Gallery on Rivington St. between Bowery and Christie. At the gallery, the artist Franklin Evans was having a solo exhibition. Using the mediums of paint, tape, canvas, paper, watercolor, acrylic, wallboard, bubble wrap, art books, and exhibition press releases, Evans surprised us by creating large, colorful un-stretched canvases that were wrapped around the corners and walls of the gallery. He even painted the floors! His artwork was an inspiration to use unusual materials and color in creative ways.
