Kibera Girls Soccer Academy
Greetings to our fellow Geo-Girls Journalists! For the month of April, the girls of Kibera Girls Soccer Academy explored the challenges and the role of education in our lives. Here in Kibera slum, girls are faced with many challenges in getting an education and we, as girls, are often not encourage to go to school. Instead we are thought to stay home and clean the house, take care of the babies, and even make money selling our bodies. Education allows us to build confidence and courage as we learn that we, as girls, are the ones who truly will create opportunity in our lives. Asante Sana!
