EAST THIRD STREET BETWEEN 1ST AND 2ND AVENUE
WHO LIVES ON THIS BLOCK?
Yesterday, the Geo Girls took a walk over to East 3rd Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues. Not living in this neighborhood it was amazing to see the loving community. I did not get the opportunity to speak to the amount of people I had wanted to, but from the two people who I was able to interview, you could hear the inspiration and love they had in their voices. We went to discover how on this one block people lived on the Lower East Side. Whether it was from the Hells Angels to the Catholic Worker it was amazing. This neighborhood was homey; everyone was like a big family where people felt comfortable and safe to walk the streets.
